Cornerstone was founded to provide services to security alarm dealers and others in the security industry.
Its principals bring extensive operational and financial experience to bear on various recurring problems experienced
by dealers.
Cornerstone's success is based upon making complex and repetitive tasks automated, secure, and easy to manage -
much like central stations automate and handle alarm signals, subscriber calls, reports, and information for dealers.
Because its business model is so similar, Cornerstone works closely with a number of central stations throughout the
nation - in the Midwest and on both coasts.
Specializing in the security industry, with years invested in truly understanding the needs and problems of dealers,
Cornerstone has built a highly secure system designed for the industry. As a security dealers grow, their need for systems
to control and manage the business grows as well. Cornerstone's focus on an efficient platform within a "real time" system
has resulted in secure, automated, cost-effective services for security dealers.
From a very modest beginning billing a thousand subscriber accounts in 1999, Cornerstone has proven that its services
have a very strong benefit / cost relationship. With more than 20,000 accounts added to its online system since the spring
of 2001, Cornerstone has established its position as an industry leader in secure billing services and related financial
services. Cornerstone's system, very similar to that of a central station, operates as a seamless extension of a dealer's
identity. Beyond outbound paper billing, Cornerstone also handles payments via lockbox, credit card, or EFT
(electronic transfer).
Cornerstone is owned an managed by its principals, Scott MacDougal (President) and Jody Schuhart (Vice President).
